Why Feijoa8?
In New Zealand, the tradition of sharing feijoas is a cherished aspect of Kiwi culture, reflecting the community spirit and love for homegrown produce. Feijoa trees, common in backyard New Zealand gardens (despite being of South American origin), often produce an abundance of fruit during the autumn months, far more than most families can consume. Instead of letting the surplus go to waste, Kiwis generously share their feijoas with neighbours, friends, and even strangers, often leaving baskets of the fragrant fruit at their gates with a “help yourself” sign. This practice not only reduces waste but also fosters a sense of connection and generosity, embodying the Kiwi values of sharing and sustainability.
It is from this tradition that we aspire to create a company that has a culture and community spirit of sharing, reducing waste and fostering a sense of connection. And the "8" reflects the infinity symbol, often used as a signal of continuous improvement.
